KIRA
Kira is mainly a personal site, it contains her blog, some webdesigns, site collective, and many other random things which are mainly related to Death Note and Web Authoring, the 2 themes that this site revolves on.
It was named after the nickname given to Yagami Light by the public. It is thought to be a mispronounciation (or Japanese pronounciation) of "Killer", though some contend that there is a deeper meaning to the name.
The whole site can be divided in two sections, Me and Death Note.
History
Kira is a synthesis of my former sites Requiem and Anime Kit.
Requiem, then hosted by Chioe of fateless.net, was mainly a blog/personal site + area for me to put codes of my joined fanlsitings back then.
On the other hand, Anime Kit, then hosted by VK of mitsurugi.net, was an anime graphics site where I put up layouts, buttons, banners, avatars, and other stuff you commonly find on graphics sites.
Both of them had to die out because I had to move out of the city for some time and I just couldn't keep them. It was really sad to have to give up a site, I think that is true for any webmaster!
So, then I decided that when I came back I would have a rebirth of sorts of those two sites of mine and here it is ^_^;
Basically, I wanted Kira to be Death Note-themed, as that is my main interest outside of academe at the moment. At the same time, it should also be something new aside from Requiem and Anime Kit.
That's possible because I have grown a lot from back then in terms of both personally and internet-wisely.
The Author
Yay! we get to this part of the site :]
If you haven't already, do read a bit my Quick Profile on the main page before reading this XD
After much transformation of myself both on- and offline from the time I started out in the internet (around three years ago), until now, I choose a super simple -not-to-mention-short- screen name, M.
It means more than a letter to me, though. But enough about that.
I started out foremost with *trying to* make an anime graphics site. That was really uber cool to me at the time so I wanted to create one myself. In the span of 3 days (if I remember correctly) I learned HTML and doing tables. Then I also learned Paint Shop Pro. Then I graduated from free server to a private host *glomps VK*, and that was where I really had a feel for creating sites.
Anime Kit was YAY! It got pretty popular, which boosted me to do more online :]
At the time, I was one of the few who were interested at all in the internet among the people in proximity to me. People think then of internet as only email, chat, and porn.
So, I spent more time online, met people (other otakus XD) and got more into animanga in the process.
So that was the start.
From then, I grew a lot, of course!
I am an *uber* PS user now, for example XD
Heheh, I don't know if I can cite any more changes but I think anyone who talks about the 3 years of their life that spans the change from graduating from high school to entering a University should have an idea already *winks*
Animanga I'm interested atm are Death Note, Bleach, Naruto, Pretear, Shaman King, and Fullmetal Alchemist.
Outside of Anime, my interests lie mainly in the field of Science -Natural Sciences, Computer Science, and Technology.
I hardly have a fondness of fiction books, i.e. I am not a Harry Potter fan, and neither do I have a fondness for TV Soap Operas.
Famous people who have had/having an impact in my life are Kuriyama Chiaki, Albert Einstein, Jodie Foster, Zhang Ziyi. Others include the designers I link here XD.
